Spotlight: Global Student Exchange Connects Students in Africa to High Schools in America

Global Student Exchange (GSE) is a non-profit organization that offers a personalized placement program to secondary school-level students in Africa. GSE matches these students up with private high schools in the United States of America for academic periods broken down into five and 10 months. The program also matches the students up with host families in America.

The program’s private schools are located in the beautiful state of Florida. To be eligible for the program, students must be between the ages of 14 and 18 years old; must not have completed more than 11 years of primary and secondary school; and must not have previously participated in an exchange program.

GSE is committed to screening, selecting, and preparing students for the whole experience. The program directors carefully match students’ interests with those of the prospective schools and host families.

GSE is investing in the future leaders of Africa. One of the highlights of the GSE program is its recognition that as globalization turns the world around, the education of Africa’s next generation of leaders will need to be well-rounded. For more information, visit Global Student Exchange (GSE).
